PRIVATE DEVELOPERS’ PERCEIVED USEFULNESS OF THE PREFABRICATION TECHNOLOGY IN NIGERIA’S HOUSING DEVELOPMENT INDUSTRY

Private developers in Nigeria’s housing development industry still face challenges of increasing stock, with a current deficit 20 million units. Prefabrication, known, yet unpopular construction method, has witnessed low usage. The effect system characteristics on user acceptance prefabrication technology is examined through the Perceived Usefulness (PU), amongst private Nigerian development. paper draws model (TAM) as basis for investigation. A quantitative research approach and convenient sampling technique to select 400 developers- members Real Estate Developers Association Nigeria (REDAN) Lagos Abuja. Data obtained were analyzed using descriptive analysis Freidman’s ANOVA test. Findings showed that perceived being highly useful stock. PU increases degree positivity toward usage, which subsequently triggers intention adopt.
